with complete bathroom, central heating, t.v., parking area, garage for motorcycles and
bicycles, garden, storage room for ski's, and television room. Located within the village
but at a distance from the main road and thus at a tranquil spot from which the Pyrenees
of Aragon can be explored, and from where you can enjoy the suggestive and unspoiled
landscape full of paths which bring you to a great number of lakes, cascades and forests.

| Castejon de Sos is located at the centre of Valley of Benasque, at the heart of the
Pyrenees, in the northeast of the province of Huesca at 904 m. altitude. Its climate isn't
extreme because in winter Castejon de Sos lies protected from the northern winds, and in
summer temperatures are soft and agreeable. It is a central point to visit the valleys of
: Ordesa, Pineta, Chistau, Valle de Arán, Boí Taüll and the interesting routes to visit
the romanic buildings of the Pyrennees. There are 'fairy tale' paths to do walking, on a
mountain bike or on horseback. Easy excursions lead to lovely places to enjoy the flora
and vegetation, the landscape and the countless variety of birds. Climb to the highest peaks of the Pyrenees: Aneto, Posets, Maladeta .... Canyoning is an activity to enjoy the sun and the water. Practice it in the hidden waterways of Liri, Barbaruens,.... An outstanding place to practice free flying activities, paragliding, hanggliding, delta flying and ultralights. (courses, two-seater flights, excursions) |

Hostal Plaza offers you the possibility to practice mountain sports, ski,
canyoning, rafting, paragliding etc. accompanied by professional guides. The municipality is a service centre for the surroundings and provides: a medical centre, sports facilities, a football field, tennis fields, a swimming pool, a climbing wall, a playing ground, a recreational area with barbeque at the riverbank of the Ésera. |
| The valley offers enough exciting places to satisfy al the nature lovers
and enchant all those who still do not know the valley, with its suggestive and wild
landscape in which a great number of out-door activities can take place: Trekking: possible on all levels from simple walks on the ancient paths through woods which formerly united the villages, up to larger routes which may lead to really rough places. Climbing and mountaineering: in the natural reserve of the Posets-Maladeta the highest peaks of the Pyrenees are found, more than 30 are over 3000 m. high (Aneto, Perdiguero, Posets etc.) Free flight: Castejón de Sos was the place where the World Championship 1997 took place, it is the most important free flight centre in Spain where hang-gliding and paragliding, delta flying, and ultra-light flying can be practiced under unique circumstances. It is possible to follow courses, two-seater flights and excursiones. Thermal baths: in the 'ańos de Benasque'thermal bath. (20 km) Hunting and fishing, Canoeing and wind-surfing at the lake of Eriste, Rafting, there is a nice course without risk with a lot of waves and white water. Experience is not necessary. Canyoning with toboggans, jumps and climbs.... In winter with snow there is a world of possibilities: Alpine skiing: at the Cerler ski station ( 20 minutes by car) Cross-country (nordic) skiing: at the station of the Llanos del Hospital (30 minutes by car) Mountain skiing excursions Excursions on snow shoes Heli-skiing |
